ESTHER is a female PARTI BLACK AND WHITE MINI SCHNAUZER, just 2 yrs old. She is spayed, UTD on all vaccines, rabies and micro chipped. She is only about 13-14lbs This little gal was born into a breeding situation and used to make money for her owner. We were able to get 12 away from there. She has learned to be with people and know love, she has also learned to be a dog for the first time in her life, she enjoys her treats, running around in the fenced yard and loving life. She is house trained She is also heart worm negative and on monthly preventatives.

Well I am the answer to all things you really need- and probably don't even know that you really want. My name is Esther. I am a mini Schnauzer with a unique little feature of a glad handle, or some refer to it as a long tail.

I am fully able to guard your house while you're away at work without touching anything you seem to think might be important, like shoes, furniture, the trash. I do enjoy a good chew toy, but that's about all I would really destroy. I will definitely let you know when someone comes to the door. I am happy to be your snuggle bunny every night. I love to go outside and play, so it you want to hang out in the yard, I'm your gal. My foster Mom says I am a very good girl. And I even can babysit your cat and keep the cat in line when you're not home. I've had to do that here. I get along with all my other dog siblings and I am a very easy keeper. Poppy is a female Schnauzer born Dec 2024. She's a wonderful pup.
She is UTD on vaccines, rabies, deworming, Bordetella, microchip and on monthly heart worm flea/tick prevention and groomed.  She is scheduled to be spayed Sept 10th so she will be ready for pick up after Sept 15th.
Poppy was an owner surrender due to a bigger dog attacking her. She is approximately 14lbs.
She is a little slow to warm up to other dogs so give her time and introduce slowly at a distance, she will come around. Being a typical Schnauzer, she likes to try to be the boss, although she does understand the word NO!
She knows commands sit, stay and shake. She's extremely smart! She likes to growl alot (typical Schnauzer talk), but it's not negative or aggressive. She loves to play tug and shake the life out of her toys.
Poppy is mostly house trained but she may have an accident or 2. She does sleep thru the night without accidents as long as you take her out as soon as she wakes up, usually around 7 AM. She's use to getting a small treat right before bedtime.
She is leash trained but does better with a harness she can't back out of. SHE HATES CATS, so please don't even try to make that happen.
NO KIDS UNDER 12, NO EXCEPTIONS. Since being on guard from the bigger dog attacking her constantly the quick movement and unprovoked actions of kids, it would not be a good idea to force a dog to accept this. She is perfectly happy with her adult humans, playing with her toys and other small non dominant dogs. She loves to ride in the car, takes a nice stroll and be near her human.
FOOD: Purina Pro Plan puppy dry food mixed with pressure cooked chicken and carrots. AM/PM feedings.
REMEMBER: Poppy is a puppy. All rescues need time to acclimate to new people, smells and surroundings. She's a typical Schnauzer. She will need more training to become a perfect dog. We are not looking for someone that will return her if she growls or wants to do things her way. You must be willing to work it out. She has a history of having to fight to survive. So PATIENCE, LOVE. & UNDERSTANDING are super important.
Poppy would do best in a home with another small dog to play with, fenced yard and someone home most of the time to teach her new things.

MURPHY is a 2 yr old male black and white parti Schnauzer.  He is about 14 lbs. Has been heart worm tested, (negative), on monthly heart worm, flea/tick preventative, UTD on all vaccines, rabies and been dewormed, microchipped and groomed recently. He has a cropped tail and natural beautiful big ears.

He came from a breeder/hoarder situation with many other Schnauzers, about 30 of the them.  SSR took in 12 of them.  Until the last 3 months, these babies have never known to live indoors with a clean environment, clean water, bathed, groomed or had much love.  This little guy thrives to please his humans, play with his duck and his other siblings in the foster home.  He now has a fenced yard to roam and it's clean.

We have no idea how he is with cats, but no kids under 12 as he was raised with nothing but other dogs. He is house trained on paper but goes out 90% of the time with the other dogs.

YORK  is a 5 MONTH old male BIEWER YORKIE.  He is about 3-3 1/2 lbs. He is on monthly heart worm, flea/tick preventative, UTD on all vaccines, rabies and been dewormed, microchipped, neutered and groomed recently. He is so handsome and he knows it.  He never meets a stranger.

He and his Yorkie sister were owner surrenders.  We aren't sure if the story they gave was the truth, but the bottom line is they are safe, happy and very much loved.  Did I mention this little rascal lives with a 150lb Giant Schnauzer?  Yes and they do very well together.

His foster Mom has several of our Yorkies, but also owns Yorkies, a small Mini Schnauzer and the Giant Schnauzer, so he has been exposed to them all .  He is quite spoiled and love to play non stop and be near his human.  Matter of fact his Foster works from home and he lays in a dog bed on her desk often.  .

COOPER is a 3 yr old male liver & white color Shih Tzu.  He is about 17 lbs. He is on monthly heart worm, flea/tick preventative, UTD on all vaccines, rabies and been dewormed, microchipped, neutered and groomed recently.
This little guy and his brother hold a very special place in my heart.  I could see myself being the foster fail here but with 6 dogs, I need to do what is best for him and his brother, Charley.
Cooper came to us from unusual circumstances.  His owner's job took her out of the country and a family member agreed to care for them. But less than 48 hours before she was to board a plan the family member backed out, leaving her with no other options.  Over the months, she has tried to return home.  At the time I was praying we could hold these sweet boys for her return, but it didn't happen.  So due to no fault of their own, the boys are looking a new family.
He is very shy and will steer clear of you for a while.  He LOVES to sleep on the bed with you, at first coming to the top, but in a few minutes he's happy at the foot.    He is much more independent than his brother and he is more dominant, but only with Charley.  He is fine with the other dogs here.  He will follow you room to room but lay around on the sofa or a chair, then he plays with his toys.  He loves carrying a small squeaky outside each time he goes and usually brings it back inside. He is housetrained but if left loose too many hours he will go inside.  He is great with our 11 yr old grandson.  Each morning he gets on his bed to wake him up and give kisses.  He always brings a toy to the bed, like my sleepy head grandson is ready to play.
When Cooper was about 7-8 months old he was in a private home for boarding and one of the large dogs got out and attacked him.  He lost his left eye.  It was completely removed and stitched closed.  So no meds are ever needed.
If you're looking for an excellent travel partner, Cooper is your guy.  He sits and never stirs around in the car.  He is great at the vet's office and for the groomer. And lives to go outside in a fenced yard and run until his tongue is wagging.
This breed requires maintenance of grooming at least every 8 weeks.  His diet is very little kibble with cooked chicken and carrots with peas and kale.  He gets a pre/probiotic daily and he loves his peanut butter, just one small bite in the evening.  He loves broccoli as well.  Sometimes he eats beef liver, hearts and kidneys cooks and freeze dried as a topper.
I absolutely LOVE this dog and will want a very special home for him.  He really needs a stay at home person for him.  He's not a fan of just being alone.  With all the dogs here, he plays all the time with them and squeaky toys.

CHARLEY is a 4 yr old male liver chocolate color Shih Tzu.  He is about 12 lbs. He is on monthly heart worm, flea/tick preventative, UTD on all vaccines, rabies and been dewormed, microchipped, neutered and groomed recently.
This little guy and his brother hold a very special place in my heart.  I could see myself being the foster fail here but with 6 dogs, I need to do what is best for him and his brother, Cooper.
Charley came to us from unusual circumstances.  His owner's job took her out of the country and a family member agreed to care for them. But less than 48 hours before she was to board a plan the family member backed out, leaving her with no other options.  Over the months, she has tried to return home.  At the time I was praying we could hold these sweet boys for her return, but it didn't happen.  So due to no fault of their own, the boys are looking a new family.
He is very shy and will steer clear of you for a while.  He LOVES to sleep on the bed with you, wants to snuggle nightly.  When it's cold out, he prefers to be under the cover with you.  He is fine with the other dogs here, loves our 11 yr old grandson, prefers to settle with you while you read, watch TV, or just sit in a chair with you.  He is so loving and was born to snuggle.  He walks well on a leash and is house trained.  He doesn't do well in a kennel .
